Throughout Helen’s 15 year career, she has worked at Taxi, JWT, Ogilvy, and as Creative Director at Strawberryfrog in Amsterdam where she developed the global re-launch for Pharmacia Upjohn, along with the re-launch of Elle.com for media giant, Hachette Filipacchi.Before joining Saatchi, Helen was also on the global team for the highly recognized Dove Campaign for Real Beauty. Her work in beauty, fashion and consumer packaged goods has been recognized as business success stories in North America and Europe. |
Angus Tucker, Co-creative Director and founding partner, john st. Angus is the Co-creative Director and a founding partner of john st. During his career, Angus has held positions ranging from copywriter to account executive, before opening, with his three partners, his own shop – john st. Angus has won a variety of awards for his work including a Clio and Gold Bessie, not to mention john st. was awarded Marketing’s Agency of the Year in 2008, and their has been recognized at Cannes, the One Show, CA, the Webby’s, Contagious Magazine as well as numerous domestic shows. Angus chaired the 2008 Marketing Awards and 2009 Ice Awards. |
Dean Lee, Creative Director, DDB Canada Dean Lee is currently the Creative Director with DDB Canada in their Vancouver office. Throughout his career, Dean has been consistently ranked as one of Canada’s best creative thinkers according to Strategy Magazine. Dean’s work has been recognized by many national and international advertising shows including Cannes. His recent campaigns have been singled out in both the Bessies and the Marketing Awards, and his work has been showcased in Archive magazine more than any other Canadian art director in the past decade. |
Deborah Prenger, VP Creative, Dentsu, Canada Deborah is currently the VP Creative with Dentsu where she has created memorable campaigns for everything from Coke and IKEA to Unilever and Lexus. Her work has been acknowledged just as widely, including in the One Show, Cannes, the ADCC, Communication Arts and the Bessies, to name a few. Martin Shewchuck, EVP/EDC, JWT Martin was Canada's first homegrown film director to win a Gold Film Lion at the Cannes Lions Festival. During his career as an Art Director, Copywriter, Creative Director and film director, he's won Gold, Silver and Bronze Lions, not to mention multiple shortlists at Cannes. Other awards include Gold in the New York Festivals, London, ADCC, Bessies and Marketing. His work has been featured in the ONE show, CA, ARCHIVE and SHOTS, as well as TBS and BBC's World's Funniest TV Commercials. Andrew Simon, Partner, CCO, Blammo Worldwide Beginning his career at JWT New York, Andrew soon made his way to across the country to Saatchi & Saatchi Los Angeles. In 2001, he joined DDB Canada, eventually rising to the role of Executive Creative Director. As creative head of the agency, he led the team to Strategy Magazine's Agency of the Year honours in both 2009 and 2010 as well as being named Canada’s #1 creative agency for the past three years running. In September 2010, Andrew co-created the idea for Blammo Worldwide, recognizing clients’ need for fresh and innovative communications thinking. Michèle Leduc, President & Chief Creative, ZIP Communications, Montreal Throughout her 25-year career, Michèle has lent her considerable skills to some of Montreal’s best-known advertising agencies. She has worked as a copywriter, group head and creative director and eventually opened her own shop – ZIP Communications – in 2000. Over the years, Michèle has garnered numerous advertising awards such as, Gold, Silver and Bronze awards from the Publicité Club de Montréal, Marketing Awards, Bessies, Extra, Summit, Studio Magazine, and the Mobius and New York Festivals. |
Heather Chambers, Creative Director, Leo Burnett Heather is a Senior Vice President, Creative Director and Managing Partner at Leo Burnett in Toronto. She joined Leo in May 2002 as creative director working on the Procter and Gamble North American Fabric Care business. Prior to joining Leo Burnett, Heather was at Young & Rubicam. During her 20 years in the advertising, she has collected her fair share of Clios, Bessies, Andies, Effies, Cassies, One Show and Cannes awards. |
Paul Maco, Studios Apollo, Montreal Performing since the age of sixteen, Paul’s music career took a leap forward in the 90s when he started performing internationally. Since then, Paul has been involved in music in a variety of ways, including performer, composer and producer. In 1999, Paul and Phillippe Aubert-Messier started Apollo Studios, specializing in music for the advertising industry. Since its inception, Apollo Studios has been honoured at such prestigious awards shows as the Cannes Lions Festival, London International Awards and Eurobest, to name a few. |

| The Media jury will be moderated by jury president Lauren Richards, CEO, Media Experts Lauren Richards is the Chief Executive Officer of Media Experts, Canada's largest, independent media strategy and negotiation company. Prior to joining Media Experts, Lauren was CEO of the Canadian operations of Starcom MediaVest Group, leading them through a period of tremendous recognition and growth and before that led the national Media Operations of Cossette Media.A 28-year veteran of the media services industry, Lauren is known for her passion and commitment to media innovation. Lauren served as the first Canadian judge for the Cannes Media Lions, was Canada’s representative again in 2009, is a multiple Lion winner and created the Media Innovation Awards in Canada with Marketing magazine. Lauren has also helped to develop the Young Media Challenge with AdCom and the Cannes Media Challenge with The Globe & Mail. Lauren currently serves on the Canada Cannes board and has proudly served on the boards of the Canadian Media Directors' Council, the Broadcast Executives Society and the Broadcast Bureau of Measurement. |

Judy Goddard, Senior Media Advisor, Denneboom Judy is part a team of senior media professionals at Denneboom. Her clients benefit from her 25 years experience and through the Denneboom model of senior hands-on planning and buying. At BBDO/OMD, where she was Vice President, Media Director, she had overall responsibility for accounts including the management of a media-buying budget of more than $200 million per year. Terry Horton, VP, Media Director, Cossette Media Terry oversees the Cossette Media Toronto office and is responsible for the day-to-day operations, new business development and the Cossette Media brand in the Toronto market. Isabel Gingras, SVP, Managing Director, MPG Canada Isabel is Co-managing Director of MPG. She oversees the Montreal operations, its business development and is involved in the strategic media planning of current clients. Isabel started her career in advertising at Cossette Communication as a Client Service Director. After seven years, she moved to media at Cossette Media before joining MPG in 2007. She worked on a multiple of product categories and services for some of North America’s most recognizable brands. Isabel has been a key contributor to many media awards won by agencies where she’s worked. |
Shelley Smit, EVP, Managing Director UM In her role as EVP and Managing Director at UM, Shelley brings a wide variety of experience in all areas of marketing - from client to agency; from local to global; from product innovation to media. Zoryana Loboyko, VP, Client Services Director, PHD Zoryana began her media career at PHD (formerly known as HYPN) in 2001 as a Research Analyst and within eight years progressed to VP, Client Services Director overseeing some of North America’s premier brands. Zoryana has also been directly involved in work recognized at recent Media Innovation Awards. An industry enthusiast, Zoryana has challenged herself to participate in the National Advertiser’s ‘Young Media Competition’ for four consecutive years, and has placed within the top four every year. Zoryana has been recognized and acknowledged by Strategy Magazine as a “Rising Young Media Star” and has served on the judging panel of the 2010 Media Innovation Awards. |
Tracy Bellamy, Managing Partner, MEC, Toronto Tracy’s career in media began 21 years ago at Young & Rubicam, Toronto (now MEC).
